ITINERARY:

This tour begins with a pickup from your hotel between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. We will then depart by bus toward the south of Cusco, observing beautiful landscapes along the way. The first stop will be the Tipón archaeological center, an Inca ceremonial center where water flow from the high peaks of Pachatusan mountain to the lower lands of the valley was controlled through a stone channel.

Subsequently, we will visit the Pikillacta Archaeological Complex, which literally means “city of fleas.” It is an ancient walled citadel of the Wari Empire, which was one of the most important regional centers of the Wari Culture during its expansion toward the city of Cusco.

Finally, we will conclude the journey by visiting the beautiful Church of Andahuaylillas, a small gem from the colonial period, also known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” Inside, there is an impressive collection of canvases with gold-leaf frames and murals, Baroque altarpieces, and more. We will also be able to appreciate the famous pentalingual door.

We will be back in the city of Cusco at approximately 2:30 PM.
