Tour a las Islas Flotantes de los Uros en el Lago Titicaca – Medio Día
DESCRIPTION:
The Uros Floating Islands are built from immense blocks of totora reed roots that decompose and produce gases that aid flotation. The Uros inhabitants cut and replace the totora every 15 days; the islands are then anchored to the bottom by means of poles that pierce the island floor.
The Uros floating islands are located in Puno Bay, 6 km from the port of Puno, in a south-easterly direction from Puno. Book with us to learn more.
