Tour a las Chullpas de Sillustani y las Islas Flotantes de los Uros desde Puno
DESCRIPTION:
The Sillustani Chullpas and Uros Floating Islands Tour is an excellent alternative for travelers wishing to visit two of Puno’s most iconic destinations in a single day. Visit the monumental funerary towers of the Kolla culture located next to Lake Umayo and continue your adventure sailing the waters of Lake Titicaca to discover the ancestral way of life of the Uros communities and their traditional totora reed islands.
We begin at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel to board the transport that will take us to our destination of Sillustani (a 40-minute trip). Upon arrival at Sillustani, the guide will lead us on a walk of about 60 minutes (an easy hike) to see the various Sillustani Chullpas or funerary towers of pre-Inca and Inca cultures that stand up to 12 meters high! We will also be able to observe the beauty of Lake Umayo surrounding the chullpas. If the group wishes, they can visit a rural house along the way (where we will see the life of the Andean people) before returning to the city of Puno.
Our experience continues at the Uros floating islands, where we will have lunch. Before continuing our activities, we will have the experience of taking a nap on a traditional totora reed boat, greeting Lake Titicaca as our ancestors did, and immersing ourselves in the local culture.
